Civic Si Hatchback tuned FAST & FUN trades considered 2.4 Liter for sale in Shepherdstown, West Virginia

$6,999

I've got a 2004 Civic Si with a professionally (documented) swapped and tuned K24 (2.4liter) Accord engine. It's been a daily driver for the last couple of years/40,000 miles. It is brick reliable, EVERYTHING works including AC and CC. My wife is a classical musician. She spends ALOT of time in this car. She racked most of the miles up in it and she loves to drive it!
You'd never know it was swapped other than the extra power! Plenty of low end torque for daily drivability. Push her into the revs for some SERIOUS fun. I routinely drive it across the mountains of Interstate 68 from Shepherdstown to Morgantown. I literally put it in 5th gear, set the cruise at 68mph and relax. No downshifting on even the steepest of climbs with a weekends worth of outdoor gear! AC, CD, power sun roof, 5spd. A few door dings and the clearcoat is staring to peel on top of the rear hatch. 102,000 miles and I'd drive her 'cross country and back! Kelly blue book has her at $8200 in good condition before approximately $7,000 in the swap.
Stock engine in these is a 2.0. At some point before I bought the car someone crossthreaded a plug and left it. At approximately 60000 miles it came apart in the head destroying the engine. I had my mechanics (Martinsburg Servive Center) drop a used stock Accord engine of approximately the same mileage in it along with a 4 into 1header ,short ram intake and K-pro engine management. Then professionally tuned by Elite Tuning (documented) . THE REST OF THE CAR INCLUDING THE EXHAUST AND CATALYTIC CONVERTOR IS STOCK! Which means it is not ridiculously loud and obnoxious. It is 100% emissions legal and you don't have to "know somebody" to get it inspected. The shortram intake has a WONDERFUL growl to it under engine load (hard acceleration) other than that it's very quiet and pleasant to be inside. 28 mpg driven sanely, 24 for those with a heavy foot. Mid grade recommended, but I've run only high test since the swap. Overall this car was built to be a fun fast stealthy reliable daily driver. No loud "buzz can" exhaust. No shady suspension work or body kits. Not even an aftermarket stereo. This is a sensible adults cars with lots of fun built in, but with the K-pro ECU ( /kpro.html $1,500 mod alone) it's also the basis for a truly outlandish tuner car if you're into that.
The deal: It's just not big enough anymore. My daughter and I kayak and mountain bike, so I'll consider partial trades for a (CLEAN AND MECHANICALLY SOUND) large American wagon. Preferably late 60's to late 70's. Capitol One auto currently has the title. After payment you'll get the car, the keys and a bill of sale and I'll get you a title as quickly as possible (usually about 30 days according to Capitol One) For those considering trades, know I need to get
$2300 to clear the title. After that my focus is on reliable roomy transportation for boats and bikes.
